(Photo by Evan Agostini\/Invision\/AP)(Evan Agostini | Evan Agostini\/Invision\/AP)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Snooki then stressed the importance of women getting routine Pap smears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI\u2019m 38 years old and I\u2019ve been struggling with abnormal pap smears for three or four years now, and now look at me,\u201d she said. \u201cInstead of just like putting it off because I didn\u2019t want to go, because I was hurt and scared, I just went and did it. And it was there, cancer is in there. And it\u2019s only stage 1 and it\u2019s curable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Last month, Snooki said doctors found cancerous cells on her cervix and that she was getting more tests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Snooki said she would next get a PET scan to determine whether the cancer had spread elsewhere in her body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">She said she\u2019s also probably going to get a hysterectomy, explaining that her doctor said the alternative was chemotherapy and radiation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 Gray Local Media, Inc.
