The news comes just 10 months after Dane first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/eric-dane-reveals-als-diagnosis-1236188015\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced his diagnosis in April<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe actor, best known for his role on Grey\u2019s Anatomy as Dr. Mark Sloan \u201cMcSteamy\u201d and Jacob Elordi\u2019s dad on HBO\u2019s Euphoria, is survived by his two daughters, Billie Beatrice Dane, 15, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, 13, whom he shares with Jawbreaker star Rebecca Gayheart.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tOn Friday, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/in-honor-of-eric-dane\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/in-honor-of-eric-dane\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">GoFundMe page<\/a> attributed to \u201cFriends of the Dane Family\u201d was set up to raise funds to \u201chelp provide stability\u201d for his teenage girls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cFollowing his diagnosis, Eric became a passionate spokesperson for the ALS community, using his voice and platform to advocate for fellow patients and to push for greater awareness,\u201d the page reads in part. \u201cEven as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease.
