Startups in the space cumulatively raised $26 Mn.<br \/>\nAI and enterprise tech sector clocked three deals each this week, translating to a capital infusion of $23 Mn and $30 Mn, respectively.<br \/>\nWhile B2C segments lapped up about 70% of the total funds poured into the ecosystem, 13 B2B startups bagged the remainder of the funds.<br \/>\nPeak XV and Tenacity were the most active investors this week, backing two startups apiece.<\/p>\n<p>Startup Fund Updates Of The Week<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/peak-xv-announces-three-new-funds-with-1-3-bn-capital-commitment\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peak XV announced three maiden funds,<\/a> India Seed, India Venture and APAC Funds, the VC firm\u2019s first independent funds after separating from Sequoia Capital in 2023. The VC giant also claimed that it has closed commitments to the tune of $1.3 Bn for the three funds.<br \/>\nSuhail Sameer-led OTP Ventures announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/suhail-sameer-led-otp-ventures-closes-first-fund-at-%e2%82%b9500-cr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">final close of its maiden venture fund<\/a> at \u20b9500 Cr. The fund, which had initially set out to raise \u20b9400 Cr, exceeded its target following a 17-month fundraising exercise.<br \/>\nVC firm <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/valleynxt-ventures-launches-%e2%82%b9400-cr-fund-to-back-deeptech-startups\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ValleyNXT Ventures launched its maiden fund, <\/a>with a target corpus of \u20b9200 Cr (about $22 Mn) and a greenshoe option of \u20b9200 Cr to back early-stage deeptech startups. The firm plans to back spacetech, defence tech, robotics, AI\/ML, cybersecurity, biotech, sustainability, and consumer innovation startups via the fund.<br \/>\nEquirus Group announced the final close of its maiden early-stage VC fund, <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/equirus-marks-final-close-of-maiden-early-stage-vc-fund-at-%e2%82%b9166-cr\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Equirus InnovateX Fund<\/a>, at \u20b9166 Cr. It aims to back up to 15 startups operating in sectors like SaaS, deeptech, fintech, among others<\/p>\n<p>Other Developments Of The Week<\/p>\n<p>AI cloud infrastructure startup Neysa entered into a definitive agreement with Blackstone and others, for a <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/ai-cloud-infra-startup-neysa-to-raise-1-2-bn-in-blackstone-led-round\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$600 Mn equity funding and a separate $600 Mn raise through debt financing.<\/a> This took the total size of round to $1.2 Bn.<br \/>\nLetsVenture-backed startup Klassroom filed its<a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/edtech-startup-klassroom-files-drhp-for-bse-sme-ipo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> DRHP with the BSE for an SME IPO<\/a>. The public issue will comprise a fresh issue of up to 19.89 Lakh equity shares and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of up to 4.66 Lakh equity shares.<br \/>\nListed OTA Easemytrip is planning to <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/easemytrip-to-raise-%e2%82%b9500-cr-to-bolster-non-core-segment\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">undertake a fresh fund raise of up to \u20b9500 Cr<\/a> to expand its presence across non-core segments. The fundraise is expected to happen over multiple tranches, and will include modes like rights issue, QIP, preferential issue or private placement.<br \/>\nGeneral Catalyst announced <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/general-catalyst-to-invest-5-bn-in-indian-startups\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">plans to invest $5 Bn in Indian startups <\/a>over the next five years. It will look to invest in startups across AI, healthcare, defence tech, fintech, and consumer technology over the coming years<br \/>\nAmerican computing giant Qualcomm announced <a href=\"https:\/\/inc42.com\/buzz\/qualcomm-to-invest-150-mn-in-indian-ai-startups\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">plans to invest $150 Mn<\/a> in Indian startups through its investment arm, Qualcomm Ventures.
