\n\tA24 and Lionsgate each brought a newcomer to the Friday box office with \u201cHow to Make a Killing\u201d and \u201cI Can Only Imagine 2.\u201d However, they were unable to usurp the No. 1 spot. from last week\u2019s champion, \u201cWuthering Heights<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHow to Make a Killing\u201d landed at No. 4 on its opening day, grossing $1.6 million from 1,625 North American theaters. Rivals have the comedy thriller pulling in $3.2 million by Sunday. Directed by \u201cEmily the Criminal\u201d filmmaker John Patton Ford, \u201cHow to Make a Killing\u201d follows Glen Powell as Becket Redfellow, a vengeful man who decides to kill his way through his estranged family in order to claim an exuberant inheritance. Other cast members include Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris, Jessica Henwick, Topher Grace and Zach Woods. The film is a loose adaptation of the 1949 black comedy \u201cKind Hearts and Coronets.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEmerald Fennell\u2019s \u201cWuthering Heights\u201d landed at No. 1 for the second Friday in a row with $4.6 million domestically. That\u2019s about a 56% drop from its opening day earnings. Rivals have the sexy literary drama starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi earning $14.2 million by Sunday. That would bring its North American total to $60 million through two weeks of release.<\/p>\n

\n\tSony\u2019s \u201cGOAT<\/a>\u201d scored $3.8 million domestically on Friday for a second-place finish. That\u2019s a 46% decline from last Friday\u2019s numbers. The animated family film, which follows a scrawny anthropomorphic goat with dreams of sports stardom, looks to earn $13 million to 14 million through Sunday for a domestic total of $54 million to $55 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tLionsgate took third with \u201cI Can Only Imagine 2.\u201d The faith-based musical drama earned $3.75 million on Friday and should round up $8 million to $9 million by Sunday. The 2018 original reached breakout hit status with $86 million against a $7 million budget. Based on the best-selling Christian song of all time, \u201cI Can Only Imagine 2\u201d follows MercyMe\u2019s Bart Millard as he navigates faith, family and fame after his inspirational ballad skyrocketed him to global recognition. Milo Ventimiglia and Dennis Quaid star in the film, which is directed by Andrew Erwin and Brent McCorkle.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmazon MGM\u2019s \u201cCrime 101\u201d landed in fifth place on its second Friday at the domestic box office. The heist thriller added $1.53 million on Friday, a 61% drop from its opening day last Friday.
