Even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease. As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric\u2019s friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIt concluded, \u201cAny contribution, no matter the size, will help provide stability during this incredibly difficult time and in the future for Eric\u2019s wonderful daughters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t$178,064 has been raised so far of the $250,000 goal. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/euphoria\/\" id=\"auto-tag_euphoria\" data-tag=\"euphoria\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Euphoria<\/a>\u201d director Sam Levinson and executive producer Ashley Levinson are currently the top donors with a joint donation of $27,000 dollars.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFollowing news of Dane\u2019s death, tributes poured out online from his closest collaborators. \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d creator Shonda Rhimes, who gave Dane his most widely recognized role of Dr. Mark Sloan, aka \u201cMcSteamy,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2026\/tv\/news\/greys-anatomy-cast-eric-dane-tribute-death-1236667985\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">released a statement<\/a> of remembrance on Instagram. She wrote that Dane\u2019s \u201cportrayal of Dr. Mark Sloan left an indelible mark on the series and on audiences around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe statement continued, \u201cWe are grateful for the artistry, spirit, friendship and humanity he shared with us for so many years.
