Going with the theme \u201cOld Buildings,\u201d local photographers scoured the high desert, countryside and even the oceanside to capture their best work for February\u2019s Carson City Photo Club monthly competition.<\/p>\n

The winners are:<\/p>\n

First Place: \u201cBeneath an Older Sky\u201d Rick Pott (see above photo)<\/p>\n

Second Place: \u201cCoquille Lighthouse\u201d Jim Donato<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Third Place: \u201cBodie Building\u201d Sarah Danta<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Winner\u2019s Choice: \u201cOld Milk Barn\u201d MaryLou Schindler<\/p>\n

The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month except in December at the Carson City Sheriff\u2019s Office, 911 East Musser Street inside the Ormbsy Room (use west entrance). All levels of photographers are welcome.<\/p>\n

The theme for March is \u201cEmotions.\u201d Become a member for $15 per year and submit your 8\u00d710 matted photo taken within the last year to enter in the competition.\u00a0Go here<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n
