Jeremy Roenick has spurned the critics of Team USA men\u2019s hockey.<\/p>\n
The former NHL star and Hockey Hall of Famer joined \u201cJesse Watters Primetime\u201d on Monday, where he reflected on the country\u2019s gold-medal win<\/a> over Canada at the Milano Cortina Olympics \u2014 and condemned the \u201chypocrites\u201d who aren\u2019t celebrating the historic achievement.<\/p>\n \u201cShame on everybody for not celebrating this,\u201d Roenick said of the victory<\/a>, which secured Team USA\u2019s first gold medal in Olympic men\u2019s hockey since the iconic \u201cMiracle on Ice\u201d team in 1980.<\/p>\n Jeremy Roenick joined \u201cJesse Watters Primetime\u201d on Monday. I think 99% of Americans on social media was loving it.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then you turn around and see the politicization of the sport, and it\u2019s just not right,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe hypocrites are coming out in droves and it\u2019s unfortunate we can\u2019t take the greatest moments in sports and all celebrate it. REUTERS<\/p>\n Trump then seemingly made an offhand remark aimed at the women\u2019s team, joking that if he didn\u2019t \u201cbring\u201d them as well, \u201cI do believe I would probably be impeached.\u201d<\/p>\n The U.S. women\u2019s team \u2014 which also captured gold against Canada \u2014 politely declined the invitation<\/a>, citing scheduling conflicts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
