A THIRD RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER A PIPE RUPTURED AND STRUCK A TRUCK AT THIS OIL WELL IN HINTON SKY 5 IS OVER A SCENE HERE JUST TO THE NORTH OF KOHBERGER. THIS IS ACTUALLY SOUTHEAST OF HINTON. THREE WORKERS WERE INJURED AFTER A PIPE RUPTURED TUESDAY. SKY 5 WAS ABOVE THE OIL WELL OFF STATE HIGHWAY 37, WHERE YOU COULD SEE THE DAMAGE LEFT BEHIND. CANADIAN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR BLAKE FOSTER TOLD US THE PIPE STRUCK A PICKUP TRUCK. THE BED OF THAT WHITE PICKUP TRUCK BENT AND DESTROYED A RELEASED WITH SUCH FORCE THAT IT BLEW IT FROM THERE INTO A TRUCK. THAT\u2019S THE PIPE RIGHT THERE. THAT ACTUALLY WAS BLOWN. WAS BLOWN OFF OF WHERE IT WAS ATTACHED. EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SAY TWO PEOPLE WERE FLOWN TO A HOSPITAL IN CRITICAL CONDITION, AND A THIRD WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE. What Happened The Canadian County emergency director told KOCO 5 that the accident was a pressure release from a pipe near Highway 37 and South Maple Road, which is north of Cogar, southeast of Hinton and Southwest of El Reno. The pipe struck a truck and injured three people. Officials said the accident was not an oilfield explosion, and there is no fire danger or other danger to the area. The victimsTwo people were critically injured and flown to Oklahoma City hospitals for treatment. A third victim was taken to a hospital via an ambulance. That third victim is listed in stable condition, according to the emergency director. Information about the victims is not available.  OSHA investigation The Occupational Safety and Health Administration confirmed that it is investigating the situation. OSHA said it has up to six months to complete that process.
