Jacob Bridgeman held off Rory McIlroy at Riv. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1slq7gi\">And now, one of the game\u2019s biggest names has poured a little more gasoline on the fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1slq7gi\">Justin Thomas, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.skratch.golf\/news\/news\/Justin-thomas-return-injury-tgl-match-atlanta-drive\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">who returned to TGL action Monday<\/a> at the SoFi Center, announced he\u2019ll make his TOUR return next week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club &amp; Lodge. The annual pilgrimage to The King\u2019s Place marks the third Signature Event of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1slq7gi\">Thomas has been sidelined since <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.skratch.golf\/news\/news\/justin-thomas-surgery-injury-microdiscectomy-disk-back-details\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">undergoing a microdiscectomy<\/a> in November and hasn\u2019t teed it up in competition since the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black Course. Less than two weeks ago, he shared that he\u2019d been cleared for full golf activity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1slq7gi\">In four previous starts at Bay Hill, Thomas has played the weekend every time and logged a top-20 (T-12) two years ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1slq7gi\">If the early-season momentum needed another jolt, it just got one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The PGA TOUR season is off and running.
