{"id":489772,"date":"2026-02-25T14:45:08","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T14:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/489772\/"},"modified":"2026-02-25T14:45:08","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T14:45:08","slug":"rocket-lab-haste-rocket-launch-scheduled-for-wednesday-afternoon-at-wallops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/489772\/","title":{"rendered":"Rocket Lab HASTE rocket launch scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at Wallops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rocket Lab is set to launch a new hypersonic test mission this Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The mission, called \u201cThat\u2019s Not A Knife,\u201d is scheduled to lift off between\u00a0 3 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Eastern from the company\u2019s Launch Complex 2 at NASA\u2019s Wallops Flight Facility.<\/p>\n<p>The launch will use Rocket Lab\u2019s HASTE rocket, short for Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron, a modified version of its Electron small satellite launcher.<\/p>\n<p>On board is a 660 lb experimental vehicle known as DART AE, developed by Hypersonix. The 10 foot -long craft is powered by a 3D-printed hydrogen-fueled scramjet engine. After the rocket reaches hypersonic speeds, DART will separate and fly on its own, testing advanced maneuvering, acceleration, and engine performance over a range of up to 620 miles.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"gofollow\" data-track=\"MzcyLDEsMSw2MA==\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hertrichtoyotapocomoke.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-222716 aligncenter lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/970x200-E73-Special-Jan2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"970\" height=\"200\"  data- style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 970px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 970\/200;\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>HASTE stands about 60 ft. tall and can carry payloads of up to 1500 lbs. on suborbital flights.<\/p>\n<p>This will be HASTE\u2019s first mission of 2026 and the seventh overall for the hypersonic test vehicle.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rocket Lab is set to launch a new hypersonic test mission this Wednesday.
