However, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/al-calderon-cast-nbc-brilliant-minds-season-2-1236473377\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">on the heels of his series regular casting in Season 2 of NBC\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/brilliant-minds\/\" id=\"auto-tag_brilliant-minds\" data-tag=\"brilliant-minds\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Brilliant Minds<\/a><\/a>, the role of Javi will be recast, sources tell Deadline. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWe do not comment on the contract status of our actors, but fans should not worry, Javi is alive and well in Salem,\u201d representatives for Days of Our Lives shared in a statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCalderon joined the long-running NBC\/Peacock sudser last February as Javi, a passionate and professional man who is larger than life at times, then sensitive at others. Working closely with Zachary Quinto\u2019s character, Dr. Oliver Wolf, Calderon\u2019s character, Nurse Scotty Silva, runs the hospital and looks good doing it. With charisma to spare, he\u2019s widely regarded as the Mayor of Bronx General.
