Stock futures fell Thursday as investors digested earnings results from Nvidia<\/a> and Salesforce<\/a>.<\/p>\n Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a> slipped 60 points, or 0.1%. S&P 500 futures<\/a> and Nasdaq 100 futures<\/a> were also lower by 0.1%.<\/p>\n Nvidia<\/a> shares were last slightly higher after the chip giant posted a fourth-quarter earnings and revenue beat. Salesforce<\/a> slid 3% after the software company projected disappointing fiscal 2027 revenue estimates<\/a>. <\/p>\n Salesforce \u2014 which has been one of the biggest victims of recent artificial intelligence disruption fears \u2014 weighed on Dow futures, reigniting concerns about the software sector.<\/p>\n The moves follow an upbeat day for U.S. equities. The\u00a0S&P 500<\/a> closed Wednesday higher by 0.8%, marking a second straight day of gains, while the tech-heavy\u00a0Nasdaq Composite<\/a>\u00a0jumped about 1.3%. The 30-stock\u00a0Dow<\/a>\u00a0gained roughly 307 points, or 0.6%.<\/p>\n Software and tech names bounced back in the regular session, with Oracle<\/a> gaining 1.2% and each of the “Magnificent Seven” tech giants closing in the green. Microsoft<\/a>, a notable laggard this year, gained about 3% on the day.<\/p>\n Still, sentiment has been fragile in software and cybersecurity stocks this year as worries remain about the rapidly developing capabilities of AI products that could interfere with incumbent software vendors’ businesses. <\/p>\n
