Good morning from London, and welcome to CNBC’s live blog covering all the action and business news in European financial markets on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Futures data from IG suggest a broadly positive open for European indexes, with London’s\u00a0FTSE 100<\/a> seen opening 0.1% higher, France’s CAC 40<\/a> unchanged, Germany’s\u00a0DAX<\/a> up 0.2%, and Italy’s\u00a0FTSE MIB<\/a> 0.3% higher.<\/p>\n

European markets closed in mixed territory Wednesday, with sectors diverging as second-quarter\u00a0earnings season<\/a>\u00a0ramped up.<\/p>\n

There will be more earnings today, with Unilever<\/a>, Shell<\/a>, Anheuser-Busch Inbev<\/a>, London Stock Exchange Group<\/a>, BMW<\/a>, Anglo American<\/a>, SocGen<\/a>, Renault<\/a>, AF-KLM<\/a>, Euronext<\/a>, Sanofi,<\/a> Credit Agricole<\/a> and ArcelorMittal<\/a> among the heavyweight regional companies that are due to report.<\/p>\n

On the data front, French, German and Italian inflation data is due, as are the latest German and EU unemployment figures.<\/p>\n
