According to a report by Jordan Schultz<\/a>, teams (yes, plural) have called the Chicago Bears to check if defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. was available. Any team trading for the 24-year-old Dexter would be getting a player entering the final year of his contract and coming off a career-high six sacks. Dexter was originally a second-round draft pick in 2023, for head coach Matt Eberflus and his defensive scheme.<\/p>\n

New defensive coordinator Dennis Allen may have different ideas for how he likes to deploy his defensive tackles, so if Dexter isn\u2019t in their long-term plans, it makes sense to listen to what teams may be offering.<\/p>\n

Schultz is also reporting that the Bears have received calls about backup quarterback Tyson Bagent and wide receiver DJ Moore.<\/p>\n

The Bagent news initially popped up last week<\/a> with a report that the Arizona Cardinals were \u201cintrigued\u201d by him, and earlier today, PHNX (Arizona\u2019s version of CHGO) reported that the Cardinals\u2019 offer would probably be a fourth or a fifth rounder that could become a second, depending on playing time.<\/p>\n

There has been smoke around a Moore trade all offseason, and yesterday, Bears\u2019 GM Ryan Poles was noncommittal<\/a> about Moore\u2019s place on the roster in 2026.<\/p>\n
