Most, but not all, practice in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/tag\/mexico-city\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mexico City<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Contrary to many contemporary highlights in Mexican design, which often feature monolithic or raw forms, many of the studios on this list focus on clean lines and constructions.<\/p>\n<p>Read on for 11 stand-out studios:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2294019 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/lanza-atelier-azul-verde-ago-projects-mexico-city_dezeen_2364_sq-1-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"Lanza Atelier Ago projects Mexico City\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/>Photo by Santiago Ruise\u00f1or<\/p>\n<p>Lanza Atelier<\/p>\n<p>Known as the architecture studio selected to design<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/01\/20\/lanza-atelier-2026-serpentine-pavilion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> this year&#8217;s Serpentine Pavilion<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lanzaatelier.com\/en\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lanza Atelier<\/a> also dabbles in industrial design and interiors, creating some of the most stylish restaurants in Mexico City, such as Ciena in Colonia Condesa.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, they showcased a variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/02\/05\/lanza-atelier-furniture-exhibition-ago-projects-mexico-city-art-week\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">conceptual furniture at Ago Projects<\/a>, including a metal bench with cushions made out of recycled sails and a black-metal table with chairs that slot in to create a circle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2300878 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_1-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"Formant Studio chairs\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/>Photo by Fabi\u00e1n Mart\u00ednez<\/p>\n<p>Formant Studio<\/p>\n<p>The interior designers behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/?p=2298060\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">listening room Modular<\/a>, created in the offices of photographer Fabi\u00e1n Mart\u00ednez, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.formant.studio\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formant Studio<\/a> custom-designs much of the furniture used in its interior projects.<\/p>\n<p>Like many of its interior design schemes, this furniture features simple materials and forms and leans on the contrast between dark woods and aluminium, leather and chrome.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2300877\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_0-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"Panorammma \" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Panorammma<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/panorammma.com\/ABOUT-US\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Panorammma<\/a> is well-known for its stylish use of gothic elements, such as chainmail, with a breakout appearance during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2022\/05\/06\/masa-gallery-rockefeller-center-frida-escobedo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">nomadic gallery Masa&#8217;s takeover of a Rockefeller Center underground post office in 2022.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Recently, Panorammma&#8217;s founder Maika Palazuelos opened a small vitrine gallery, <a href=\"https:\/\/ovnigallery.com\/about-us\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ovni<\/a>, where she showed a collaboration with musician Sites featuring a chandelier made out of reused research equipment such as speciality centrifuge tubes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2300882\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_5-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Kenya Rodr\u00edguez Studio<\/p>\n<p>Guadalajara-based <a href=\"https:\/\/kenyarodriguez.com.mx\/en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kenya Rodr\u00edguez Studio<\/a> showcased work during the art week at an exhibition celebrating the scenographic design photography of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alejandroramirezorozco.com.mx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alejandro Ram\u00edrez Orozco<\/a> at Difane.<\/p>\n<p>The designer&#8217;s lighting, in floor, pendant and table versions, features elements of mid-century modernism and art deco design, with natural wood colours and fibre. Elegant hinges give the pieces a sense of movement, while its large proportions add a contemporary feel.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2300884\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_7-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Lucas Cant\u00fa<\/p>\n<p>One part of iconic architecture duo Tezontle, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/vvcas\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cant\u00fa<\/a>, represented by local art gallery <a href=\"https:\/\/peana.co\/artists\/39-lucas-cantu\/overview\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Peana<\/a>, has spent the last few years working on a series of increasingly complex works.<\/p>\n<p>Though he still works with large-scale objects that evoke Mesoamerican forms, this recent work functions at minuscule levels, integrating early mechanical technology such as clocks and simple lights for an unusual decorative effect.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2300885\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_8-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2365\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Esteban Tamayo Ramos\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Known primarily as a fashion and brand designer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/estebantamayoramos\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ramos<\/a> has quickly become one of the most exciting young designers working in Mexico, with a tripartite showing at the nomadic fair <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dezeen.com\/2026\/02\/10\/unique-design-x-mexico-city-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Unique X Design&#8217;s showcase in the city this month<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Complemented by blue plinths, the pieces included a bench with cushions made from pneumatic tubes, natural-fibre sconces and a chair combining metal and woven elements.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2300886 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_9-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"Euclid\" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/>Photo by Mariana Achach<\/p>\n<p>Euclid<\/p>\n<p>For Zona Maco&#8217;s design section this year, contract furniture company <a href=\"https:\/\/euclid.mx\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Euclid<\/a> created a series of aluminium furniture with blue accents, accompanied by technical drawings meant to make the furniture open source.<\/p>\n<p>According to the studio, the pieces were meant to show the importance of aluminium in a time of trade tensions between the US and Mexico. The open-source design is meant to contrast with protectionist US policies, making the collection a &#8220;political object as much as an aesthetic one&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2300881\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/mexican-designer-round-up_dezeen_2364_col_4-852x852.jpg\" alt=\"Toro Gallery \" width=\"2364\" height=\"2364\"   loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Regina Moreno<\/p>\n<p>Director and co-founder of gallery <a href=\"https:\/\/toro-manifesto.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Toro Manifesto<\/a> and former employee at Mexican design studio Breuer, Moreno mixes symbolism with fascinating combinations of materials and forms.<\/p>\n<p>For Toro Manifesto&#8217;s showing at Unique X Design, Moreno created a table that incorporates &#8220;austere&#8221; lines at first glance.
