There are a lot of puzzles in Resident Evil Requiem<\/a>, but even though some reviewers have had access to the game for weeks, no one has yet figured out the most elaborate headscratcher it contains. To be honest, I didn\u2019t even catch that there was a \u201cFinal Puzzle\u201d either time that I played through Grace and Leon\u2019s no good, very bad day. But given that no one\u2019s found a solution yet, I\u2019m not feeling too bad about that.<\/p>\n

As places like IGN<\/a> and VGC<\/a> have laid out, there\u2019s a hidden puzzle that starts near the end of Requiem\u2019s first act. As Grace, you\u2019ll escape the horrifying monster called The Girl while you\u2019re exploring Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, and in the chase, the creature will lose one of its hands. While it\u2019s not required, you can pick up the severed hand and take it with you, but it doesn\u2019t have any apparent use from the get go. However, if you take it to one of the microscopes you can find in either the Blood Lab or the West Wing\u2019s Office, you can scan it similarly to any of the blood samples you\u2019ve received up to this point, but instead of new recipes for you to craft, you\u2019ll be greeted with a screen with the following text:<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s play.<\/p>\n

What does this mean? It seems to be something resembling an RNA sequence, which holds a clue to one of the code-locked safes you\u2019ve already opened elsewhere in the facility. But the puzzle doesn\u2019t stop there, with more clues unfolding as the game goes on. The next steps become far more ridiculous and require knowledge outside the scope of the game. IGN\u2019s guide is periodically updating<\/a> as they\u2019ve been finding new clues, but even they are still working their way through it alongside players now that the game is out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Whatever \u201cThe Final Puzzle\u201d ends up being, the in-game challenge list indicates that you will have completed it when \u201cthe sweet pair hear the voice,\u201d and I\u2019m not sure what that could possibly mean.
