\n\tWarner Bros\u2019 awards-season combatants Sinners and One Battle After Another and Netflix\u2019s toon phenom KPop Demon Hunters took the top film prizes at 2026 annual\u00a0ACE Eddie Awards<\/a>, which were handed out Friday night at UCLA\u2019s Royce Hall.\u00a0See the full winners list below.<\/p>\n

\n\tSinners editor Michael P. Shawver took the Eddie Award for Best Edited Feature Drama, and One Battle\u2019s Andy Jurgensen took the Feature Comedy prize. Both are up for Best Editing at the Academy Awards on March 15, where they will compete against Stephen Mirrione (F1), Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme) and Olivier Bugge Coutt\u00e9 (Sentimental Value).<\/p>\n

\n\tSince the turn of the 21st century, the Eddie winner for theatrical drama has gone on to score the Academy Award for Best Editing 14 of 26 times \u2014 but only once in the past five years, for\u00a0Oppenheimer.\u00a0Wicked\u00a0and\u00a0Emilia P\u00e9rez\u00a0took the\u00a0top film honors at the 2025 Eddies<\/a>, with\u00a0Anora\u2018s Sean Baker going on the\u00a0win the Oscar for Best Film Editing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe night\u2019s first big film prize went to Nathan Schauf of the awards-season juggernaut KPop Demon Hunters for Best Edited Animated Feature. The Netflix pic is hot off its sweep at the Annie Awards<\/a> and a VES Award<\/a> this week. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn the TV side, the Best Edited Drama Series prize went to HBO Max\u2019s The Pitt, which won the Drama Series Emmy<\/a> in September, and HBO\u2019s The Penguin took the Limited Series award. Another 2025 Emmy winner, Apple TV\u2019s The Studio, won the trophy for Single Camera Series, and CBS\u2019 now-wrapped<\/a> Frasier got the Multi-Camera category.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe documentary categories were handed out first, with The Perfect Neighbor winning for film and HBO\u2019s Pee-wee as Himself taking the TV prize. <\/p>\n

\n\tOther winners included the editors behind the wonderfully controversial \u201cTwisted Christian\u201d episode of South Park for Best Edited Animated Series, Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Special for Variety Talk\/Sketch Show or Special, Conan O\u2019Brien Must Go for Non-Scripted Series and All the Empty Rooms for Best Edited Short. A Winter\u2019s Song won for Best Edited Feature Film (Non-Theatrical).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe editors group presented a handful of special honors tonight. <\/p>\n

\n\tTwo-time Oscar winner Ang Lee will receive the ACE Golden\u00a0Eddie\u00a0Filmmaker of the Year<\/a> Award. Along with his Best Director wins for Life of Pi and Brokeback Mountain, Lee\u2019s many films include Gemini Man\u00a0(2019),\u00a0Billy Lynn\u2019s Long Halftime Walk\u00a0(2016), Lust, Caution\u00a0(2007),\u00a0Hulk\u00a0(2003),\u00a0Sense and Sensibility\u00a0(1995) and\u00a0The Wedding Banquet\u00a0(1993). His\u00a0Eat Drink Man Woman\u00a0(1994),\u00a0The Ice Storm\u00a0(1997) and\u00a0Taking Woodstock\u00a0(2009) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, as did\u00a0Couching Tiger.<\/p>\n

\n\tEmmy-winning Law & Order editor-director\u00a0Arthur Forney, who also has eight other Emmy noms for the NBC franchise\u2019s mothership series, accepted the first of two ACE Career Achievement\u00a0awards. The prize was presented by longtime L&O franchise stars Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni. Forney other credits include hundreds of episodes of Law & Order: SVU and Organized Crime along with NBC\u2019s Chicago P.D., Med and Fire and CBS\u2019 FBI. <\/p>\n

\n\tOscar-nominated editor\u00a0Robert Leighton\u00a0received the other Career Achievement, presented by Christopher Guest, who directed three films he edited: Best in Show, A Mighty Wind and For Your Consideration. Leighton\u2019s dozens of film credits also include Rob Reiner\u2019s A Few Good Men \u2014 for which Leighton got his Oscar nom \u2014 This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally\u2026, Stand by Me and The Princess Bride along with Bull Durham, Misery, Ghosts of Mississippi, Shall We Dance? and Now You See Me.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ACE Visionary Award went to YouTube and was be accepted by Kim Larson, Managing Director and Head of the Creator and Gaming team. The award was presented by Michele Khare, host of the popular YouTube docuseries Challenge Accepted.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe In Memoriam segment included tributes to Reiner<\/a>, Chris Willingham<\/a>, Don Zimmerman<\/a>, Jane Kass, William Steinkamp, Alan C. Marks, John Soh and Ted Woerner.<\/p>\n

\n\tDeli Boys star and Wrecked alum Asif Ali\u00a0hosted the ceremony.<\/p>\n
