Donald Trump<\/a> incited controversy with another AI-generated video after previously resharing a racist video that depicted the Obamas as apes<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Shortly before the 79-year-old president delivered his State of the Union address<\/a> with Team USA\u2019s men\u2019s hockey team in attendance as special guests<\/a>, the White House shared a video on TikTok that\u2019s since gone viral. <\/p>\n

In it, NHL star Brady Tkachuk<\/a> is pictured, seemingly making an offensive remark about another country. The gold medalist has since spoken out to deny ever saying the words and to distance himself from the video. <\/p>\n

On Monday (February 23), the White House shared the video<\/a> to celebrate the men\u2019s hockey team\u2019s victory over Canada<\/a> in the 2026 Winter Olympics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It opens with Tkachuk seemingly speaking at a press conference, slamming Canada. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey booed our national anthem, so I had to come out and teach those maple syrup eating f\u2014- a lesson,\u201d he appears to say, seemingly in reference to hockey games where the American national anthem was booed by spectators<\/a>. <\/p>\n

However, Tkachuk never actually said any of that, and he\u2019s dubbed the video \u201cclearly fake.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it\u2019s clearly fake, because it\u2019s not my voice, not my lips moving,\u201d he said, via The Guardian<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Continuing, he added, \u201cI\u2019m not in control of any of those accounts. I know that those words would never come out of my mouth. So, I can\u2019t do anything about it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not my voice. It\u2019s not what I was saying,\u201d the hockey player said. \u201cI would never say that. That\u2019s not who I am, so I guess I don\u2019t like that video because that would never come out of my mouth and never had that thought.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although the 26-year-old left winger was born in Arizona and played for Team USA in the Games, he serves as the captain for the Ottawa Senators, a NHL team that is based in Canada. <\/p>\n

The White House continued to taunt Canada in the clip\u2019s caption, which read: \u201cSilver does NOT shine just as bright.\u201d<\/p>\n

The video features an alert that it \u201ccontains AI-generated media,\u201d but critics have taken to the comments section to slam the Trump administration for posting it in the first place. <\/p>\n

\u201cDo none of you realize this is fake? It is AI dubbed. Tkachuk, never said any of that. I can\u2019t believe this was put out by the White House. Seriously, what is wrong with the social media team,\u201d one person wrote.<\/p>\n

Another chimed in, writing, \u201cWhat in the actual F world are we living in?! Is there not ONE single sane person on the White House social media team? Not one? Not one person big enough to say \u2018um yea no we shouldn\u2019t post that\u2019 no one? There\u2019s no possible way this is reality.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just Jared reached out to the White House for comment on the video but did not hear back at the time of publication. <\/p>\n
