Brown soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Eagles made it clear this week that they\u2019ll listen to offers for receiver A.J. Brown. Whether they\u2019ll accept one remains to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer believes, based on \u201csources close to several Eagles,\u201d that a <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/eagles\/aj-brown-trade-market-howie-roseman-2026-nfl-combine-20260227.html?utm_source=t.co&amp;utm_campaign=edit_social_share_twitter_traffic&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_term=&amp;int_promo=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">decision will be made sooner than later<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the negotiation period for free agents opening on March 9, the Eagles presumably would want to move quickly to replace Brown, if they\u2019ll be trading him. Still, they won\u2019t do the deal unless they get what they want.<\/p>\n<p>One thing they may want is an agreement to delay the trade until after June 1. That\u2019s when the cap consequences arising from a trade would be split over two years, instead of being fully absorbed in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The price for Brown isn\u2019t known. McLane suggests that, at a minimum, the Eagles would want a second-round pick. If multiple teams compete for Brown, the Eagles could get more.<\/p>\n<p>Teams to watch include the Patriots, Bills, Ravens, and Chargers.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019ve done a good job of being coy about their plans. But it\u2019s obvious that he\u2019s available, for the right proposal.
