All Will Be One<\/a> | Illustration by Esau Escorza, Isaac Escorza & Luis Antonio Delgado<\/p>\n Cowabanga, MTG folks! It\u2019s time to take a deep look at another MTG collection and focus on new card values. Whether you\u2019re preparing yourself for the local Prerelease<\/a> or thinking about getting the new EDH precon<\/a> or some Play Boosters<\/a>, it\u2019s important to know the set\u2019s contents in advance, especially if you want to trade stuff you open. Here, I\u2019m considering all the different Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/a> sets. Before we begin, let\u2019s highlight all the different products:<\/p>\n Oh, and if you haven’t already, check out this video version we just uploaded to YouTube!<\/p>\n These prices were taken from TCGplayer on February 25, 2026 and are subject to significant changes after the set fully releases.<\/p>\n \t\t This card almost didn\u2019t make the list, as its price has been fluctuating wildly on TCGplayer<\/a>, so we can\u2019t guarantee anything about its long-term value. Still, Tempestra, Dame of Games<\/a> is a nice way of throwing copies of creatures at your opponent\u2019s faces while maximizing their attack, enter, and death triggers<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t It\u2019s 6 mana, but The Cloning of Shredder<\/a> can provide a lot of value. You\u2019re basically making three token copies of a creature card from your graveyard, and they\u2019re not legendary, so many cool interactions can happen. Cards that double the number of tokens produced<\/a> will do a lot of work here.<\/p>\n \t\t MTG players love dinosaurs<\/a>, creature lords<\/a>, and X-mana spells<\/a> that create more stuff. Triceraton Commander<\/a> is in the center of this crazy Venn diagram, except that it can\u2019t be your commander, so you\u2019ll have to be happy about adding this to your favorite dinosaur deck. This card can be an excellent mana sink<\/a> that creates many dinosaurs and Jump<\/a>s them later.<\/p>\n \t\t Making foods<\/a> you control generate mana of any color is awesome, and each turn you\u2019ll create a Food<\/a> token for free. Many cards will love the free Food that Ninja Pizza<\/a> provides, and in a deck that already makes Food, this can be a huge ramp piece<\/a>. Decks that make infinite Food as a combo can now turn that into infinite mana<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n \t\t Donatello, Mutant Mechanic<\/a> can give three +1\/+1 counters<\/a> to any artifact<\/a> you control, including creatures, with its tap ability. Similar to the modular mechanic<\/a>, you can transfer these counters between artifacts or creatures after they die. But the real value here is when we can turn vehicles<\/a> with strong attack abilities<\/a> into creatures without crewing<\/a>, or turn indestructible<\/a> artifact lands<\/a> into creatures. MTG has some ways to tap and untap infinitely, so this card can be a fun and versatile artifact commander<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t Continue?<\/a> has the making of a future MTG staple. For only 2 mana, you can return up to four creatures that died this turn, and you can use this card to recover from a wrath effect<\/a>, a bad combat, or just to keep sacrificing creatures<\/a> and getting more value.<\/p>\n \t\t City of Brass<\/a> is one of MTG\u2019s classic 5-color lands<\/a>. It enters untapped, and the downside of being pinged<\/a> each time you use the land is small next to the benefits, especially in EDH<\/a>. The last time it was reprinted was in Double Masters 2022<\/a>. This is usually a $20 card, so this version will be a $10 card for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n \t\t The classic equipment<\/a> deemed too strong for many Constructed formats, Umezawa’s Jitte<\/a> is very similar to Raphael\u2019s classic Sai weapon, and thus it deserved a reprint. This card sees play in Cube<\/a>, Commander equipment decks, and it turns combat into a nightmare, not to mention the ability to kill low-toughness creatures quickly.<\/p>\n \t\t Sneaking Leonardo, Sewer Samurai<\/a> in is a way to give a 3\/3 double striker<\/a> \u201chaste<\/a>\u201d and surprise-hit someone for 6. This card looks well-positioned to see play across formats<\/a> like Commander and Standard, and the ability to cast creatures with power or toughness 1 for free every turn can\u2019t be overlooked either. Many creatures that enter and make your opponent discard<\/a>, lose life<\/a>, or sacrifice creatures have 1 toughness, so there\u2019s plenty of value to be had.<\/p>\n \t\t Underworld Breach<\/a> is a very broken card and it\u2019s easily breakable. If you want to mill your entire deck<\/a> and win via Thassa’s Oracle<\/a>, you can do that. You can also cast a lot of spells in a turn or fill your graveyard for value. And that\u2019s just a 2-mana enchantment<\/a> card. A premium version of this card can easily fetch $20-25 on the market, but I\u2018m not a huge fan of this specific reprint.<\/p>\n \t\t Rhythm of the Wild<\/a> fits the Turtles\u2019 themes perfectly. While this enchantment is on the battlefield, each nontoken creature you control can enter either with haste or with a +1\/+1 counter, depending on your needs. TMNT is really wild, especially when we consider what the Turtles usually fight. It\u2019s a staple card in RG that\u2019s not reprinted enough.<\/p>\n \t\t If you want to sacrifice artifacts<\/a> for free, Arcbound Ravager<\/a> has you covered. Transfer all counters from a ground creature to an evasive flier<\/a>, possibly with infect<\/a>? Ditto. It\u2019s a classic creature that sees play in many formats, different contexts, and this art is really sick<\/a>. Easily worth $10+.<\/p>\n \t\t I think this reprint\u2019s art is spot on because, for me, nothing screams TMNT more than beat-\u2018em-up games, and those are well-known for having Waves of Aggression<\/a>. It\u2019s a $20 card that\u2019s very solid in Commander, and with retrace<\/a> you can take an extra combat step<\/a> whenever you draw and discard a land. One of the better cards for aggressive strategies<\/a> gets a cool reprint with nice, thematic art, and I\u2019m very okay with that.<\/p>\n \t\t Michelangelo, the Heart<\/a> is a 2-drop<\/a> creature that\u2019s a real glue card since it fits a lot of strategies. Food<\/a> tokens mean lifegain<\/a>, while Mikey has trample<\/a>, so you can put the +1\/+1 counters on it, too. This card also works well with Mutagen tokens<\/a>. It\u2019s a cool and versatile card, but I\u2019m not feeling $16.50 on this one.<\/p>\n \t\t Splinter, the Mentor<\/a> takes the turtles deck in another direction, focusing on the sneak ability<\/a> at first, but you can throw in some sacrifice effects. I can see this creature being very valuable in a wide range of decks, including those that merge aristocrats<\/a> with artifact sacrifice \u2013 it\u2019s a payoff for sacrificing creatures<\/a>, and it generates sac fodder artifacts<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n Dark Leo & Shredder<\/a> is a very cool new ninja<\/a> from the Standard-legal set. Showing off the new sneak mechanic, this card gives you the incentive to run ninjas: It grants deathtouch<\/a> when they attack, and with enough ninjas around, it\u2019s a possible win condition. And it\u2019s hard to block<\/a> a 1\/3 deathtoucher<\/a> profitably. This card has very cool art, too.<\/p>\n \t\t Some things never change. Every new MTG set has a nice, big dragon<\/a> at mythic rarity<\/a>, often a 5\/5 for 5 mana that\u2019s one of the most expensive cards of the set. North Wind Avatar<\/a> is an interesting variation on your average dragon, giving you a sideboard<\/a> card for free. If there\u2019s something MTG Arena<\/a> taught me, it’s that cards with learn<\/a>, or cards like Fae of Wishes<\/a> do see play, and I have high hopes for this dragon. Excellent combo with airbend<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n \t\t Undercity Sewers<\/a>, like the other surveil lands<\/a>, is very expensive. They\u2019re legal in Standard and playable in many other formats due to fetch land<\/a> synergies. That said, a critique I\u2019ve seen about this card is that a turtle<\/a> sleeping in the sewers hardly reminds us of a blue and black land<\/a>. This may, in fact, tank this specific version, and other versions of this land usually sell for $25-30.<\/p>\n \t\t Raphael, the Muscle<\/a> has an immediate impact on the board, if you\u2019re playing with +1\/+1 counters. And if you aren’t, well, here\u2019s your Mutagen<\/a> token. It\u2019s a nice aggressive pair with Leonardo, the Balance<\/a>, because of the one-two punch \u2013 create a token<\/a>, spread counters, double the damage<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t A partner commander<\/a>, Donatello, the Brains<\/a> produces a lot of Mutagen<\/a> tokens over the course of a game. Many MTG cards synergize with +1\/+1 counters, either when you put them on a creature or when they\u2019re doubled.<\/p>\n \t\t Leonardo, the Balance<\/a> is the main 5-color commander<\/a> of the Turtle Power! Commander precon, and it\u2019s fairly easy to build around it. MTG\u2019s never had a 5-color commander that cares about any kinds of tokens, and putting a +1\/+1 counter on each creature opens up plenty of synergies around colors. Plus, with partner select, you can have different commander combinations to skew the deck towards a certain style. It\u2019s going to be a popular commander, but I don\u2019t think the card price will stay as high as it is right now.<\/p>\n \t\t Krang, Utrom Warlord<\/a> looks like a big Darksteel Forge<\/a> on legs, while granting other artifact creatures<\/a> strong abilities. It can be a powerful commander, but its most likely home is in a Standard\/Pioneer<\/a> reanimator<\/a> deck. This card can be a nice surprise threat with an immediate impact on the board and an excellent colorless ramp payoff<\/a> at the level of the Eldrazi<\/a> titans.<\/p>\n \t\t The alternate 5-color commander for the precon, Heroes in a Half Shell<\/a> can do a lot of work. You\u2019ll probably have to build around this card, at least around one of the creature types, but just attacking<\/a> with this creature and getting a +1\/+1 counter and a card is solid, and really good if you\u2019re giving this bonus to your whole squad.<\/p>\n \t\t Super Shredder<\/a> is the most expensive card from the regular TMNT set, and a very hyped mythic<\/a>. It\u2019s a card that can hold its value pretty easily: It\u2019s a 2-drop that can become a staple in singleton formats, and almost everything that happens in a game of MTG can grow this creature, from removal<\/a> to fetch lands and sacrificing creatures. Or Treasure<\/a>. Or blinking creatures<\/a>.<\/p>\n \t\t All Will Be One<\/a> is a damage machine in any counter-based strategy. Be it with planeswalkers<\/a>, creatures with +1\/+1 counters, spreading -1\/-1 counters<\/a> around, this card does some work. It\u2019s a winning strategy to put +1\/+1 counters on your creature and damage their smallest creatures at the same time. And if you\u2019re consistently doubling counters<\/a>, some players might go down, too.<\/p>\n \t\t Shadowspear<\/a> is a heavily played equipment<\/a> in formats like Commander, Cube, and 60-card formats. Giving lifelink<\/a> and trample to a creature for such a small amount of mana is premium, and the card is easily fetchable with Urza’s Saga<\/a> or Trinket Mage<\/a>. Besides, it\u2019s nice to override common protection cards<\/a> like Swiftfoot Boots<\/a> and Heroic Intervention<\/a>. I enjoy this reprint as Donnie\u2019s Bo, and the art is gorgeous. Totally worth the admission price.<\/p>\n \t\t Ever since its only printing in Murders at Karlov Manor Commander<\/a>, Trouble in Pairs<\/a> quickly became a white staple<\/a> in Commander, and it\u2019s currently a $30 card. It rewards you for so much stuff your opponents might play, while stopping extra turns<\/a>. It slows the game down for everybody but you, similar to other staples like Smothering Tithe<\/a> and Rhystic Study<\/a>. This version has nice, premium art, so I expect it to be heavily played and maintain its value in the long run.<\/p>\n \t\t I remember when I first built a token EDH deck and searched for this card online, only to find out that well\u2026 it\u2019s very expensive. Maybe I should settle on something else\u2026. Doubling Season<\/a> has been reprinted a lot lately on many bonus sheets, but the price won\u2019t go down at all. It\u2019s even Standard legal thanks to Foundations<\/a>. It seems like every other green Commander deck these days either makes tokens or piles up counters on creatures, so you can get why this card is heavily played.<\/p>\n \t\t Ashcoat of the Shadow Swarm<\/a> is an incredible card to build around, and one of the best incentives to build a rat<\/a> typal deck. This card has a short supply, having only been printed in a Jumpstart product<\/a>, Jumpstart 2022, and it\u2019s a $70+ card. Well, now you can play your Splinter of the Shadow Swarm<\/a>, with beautiful art. This card will probably hold its value in the $30-40 range, and it\u2019s one of the clear chase cards this set has to offer.\u00a0<\/p>\n Oh, and if you haven’t already, check out this video version we just uploaded to YouTube!<\/p>\n Now that we\u2019ve covered the main cards from the Standard and Commander offerings, let\u2019s take a deeper look at the special treatment cards we can find in TMNT.<\/p>\n Turtles Team-Up<\/a> is a specific product that has exclusive cards in its preconstructed decks. Once more, we have one version of each turtle<\/a>, and all of these are simple designs but actually pretty good. They remind me of Limited bombs from core sets of old. And since they\u2019re not found in regular boosters<\/a>, their price may vary. Some of these are already being sold on the secondary market in the $15-25 range.<\/p>\n These cards are found only in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Bundle<\/a>, and each bundle has two of these six promo cards.<\/p>\n As of now, Dark Ritual<\/a> is the most expensive card from these, ranging from $100-120, so consider yourself lucky if you open one of these.<\/p>\n As expected, we have a special treatment for each of the four main turtles. You\u2019ll find these cards drawn and signed by Kevin Eastman (TMNT co-creator) only in Collector Boosters.<\/p>\n All MTG sets<\/a> these days have a fun, different frame style<\/a> on select cards. TMNT is no exception, and we have some funky, Saturday morning cartoon-style cards that might not be suited to everybody. Thirty of these are available. Both Collector and Play Boosters have them in foil<\/a> and nonfoil versions.<\/p>\n Eight cards have the special silhouette treatment, and this shows the more sneaky and hidden aspect of the ninja turtles. Both Collector and Play Boosters have Silhouette cards in foil and nonfoil treatment.<\/p>\n This is a Japanese art take on the turtles, all in borderless, gorgeous art. Ten cards have this Japan Showcase special treatment<\/a>, but you can only find them in Collector Boosters.<\/p>\n Michelangelo, the Heart<\/a> | Illustration by Nestor Ossandon<\/p>\n MTG TMNT looks fun, and there\u2019s definitely value to be had in the various quality reprints and powerful mythics. Compared to previous sets, there isn\u2019t that specific crazy card everybody\u2019s talking about, like The Soul Stone<\/a>, Bitterbloom Bearer<\/a>, or the golden Traveling Chocobo<\/a>s. And that\u2019s fine in many ways. Card price isn\u2019t the end-all-be-all.
