Shia LaBeouf has been arrested again in New Orleans.<\/p>\n
According to Orleans Parish Sheriff\u2019s Office records, LaBeouf was taken into custody Saturday and charged with one additional misdemeanor count of simple battery.<\/p>\n

The Transformers star\u2019s attorney, Sarah Chervinsky, said that after learning New Orleans police had issued a new arrest warrant Friday, LaBeouf voluntarily turned himself in to the Orleans Parish jail, according to the Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cNo regular person would be required to post over $100,000 in bonds and be jailed two separate times for one misdemeanor incident,\u201d Chervinsky said. \u201cJust as he does not deserve preferential treatment, Mr. LaBeouf also does not deserve to be treated more harshly by the police and courts just because he is a public figure.\u201d<\/p>\n The legal trouble began during Mardi Gras earlier this month. LaBeouf was arrested Feb. 17<\/a> following an altercation at R Bar in the Faubourg Marigny. Authorities said he became aggressive and allegedly fought with two men, both of whom told police he assaulted them.<\/p>\n LaBeouf is accused of punching one bartender multiple times and striking another in the face. He also allegedly shouted homophobic slurs during the incident. The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> reported details of the altercation at the time.<\/p>\n LaBeouf was later taken to a local hospital for undisclosed injuries. After being released, he was formally charged with two counts of simple battery.<\/p>\n In an interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan<\/a> released Saturday morning, the 39-year-old actor addressed what he said led to his initial arrest and discussed his recent behavior.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not nice to hurt people ever. It\u2019s fucking lame. People got hurt. I got to deal with that. I\u2019mma deal with that in full. I\u2019ll eat it all,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was on me. It\u2019s not on them. It\u2019s on me. I messed up.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked if he takes responsibility, LaBeouf responded, \u201cDefinitely. Yeah. 1,000 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cMy side is this \u2014 my behavior, bullshit. I got to deal with that. Does that mean I got to go to rehab again? I\u2019m just not into it, bro. I don\u2019t think my answers are there. If I genuinely did, I\u2019d go. I don\u2019t think I have a drinking problem. I think I have a different problem, and I\u2019m going to address it.\u201d<\/p>\n The Fury actor said he believes he has a \u201csmall man complex,\u201d explaining, \u201cI think it\u2019s something that has to do with anger and ego more so than my drinking. That\u2019s where I\u2019m at now on my journey, and I\u2019m trying to navigate it.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked what triggered his anger, LaBeouf said, \u201cI\u2019ll be honest with you, big gay people are scary to me. I\u2019m standing by myself, and three gay dudes are next to me, touching my leg, I get scared. I\u2019m sorry if that\u2019s homophobic. Then I\u2019m that.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked whether that situation happens often, he said it occurred only once. \u201cThat\u2019s why I got arrested,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n LaBeouf concluded, \u201cI am wrong for touching anyone, ever.
