is currently &#8220;overvalued.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a video snippet shared on X on March 1, 2026, Kokofu argued that while he does not wish for financial hardship to befall the nation, the government must be prepared to take a drastic step should a new economic crisis strike.<\/p>\n<p><a reflection of its true value.<\/p>\n<p>He suggested that maintaining an artificially high currency value could leave the economy vulnerable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t pray for an economic crisis but the way we\u2019re going it will get there\u2026 and the only solution for the next economic crisis this country would go through is for the government to devalue the currency,\u201d Kokofu stated in
