{"id":498577,"date":"2026-03-02T03:06:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T03:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/498577\/"},"modified":"2026-03-02T03:06:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T03:06:10","slug":"local-health-system-celebrates-new-cna-graduates-in-geneva-finger-lakes-daily-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/498577\/","title":{"rendered":"Local Health System Celebrates New CNA Graduates in Geneva \u2013 Finger Lakes Daily News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"202\">UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health has recognized the first graduates of its Certified Nursing Assistant program for 2026.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"204\" data-end=\"446\">The ceremony was held in Geneva, where officials congratulated Samantha Coyle, Kari Goebert, Javon Johnson, Tahirah Hoover, Kaelie Kowal, Spencer Lightfoote, Carley Luffman, Sherelle Moore, and Taina Torres.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"448\" data-end=\"719\">The health system offers a paid CNA Training Program approved by the New York State Department of Health. The four-week program includes 138 hours of classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. Graduates are then eligible to take the state certification exams.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"917\">Officials say many participants use the program as a steppingstone into long-term healthcare careers, with some continuing their education to become licensed practical nurses or registered nurses.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"1158\">Job opportunities are currently available at the Geneva Living Centers, The Homestead in Penn Yan, and Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, along with other long-term care facilities in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1160\" data-end=\"1429\">To support new graduates, UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is offering a $2,000 hiring bonus.
