\n\t\u201cEvil Dead<\/a>\u201d star Bruce Campbell<\/a> revealed Monday that he has been diagnosed with cancer, but he says that it is \u201ctreatable,\u201d if not curable. Campbell said work will have to take a back seat while he\u2019s being treated.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 67-year-old actor posted a message to his fans on X<\/a>, writing, \u201cHi folks, these days, when someone is having a health issue, it\u2019s referred to as an \u2018opportunity,\u2019 so let\u2019s go with that \u2013 I\u2019m having one of those. It\u2019s also called a type of cancer that\u2019s \u2018treatable\u2019 not \u2018curable.\u2019 I apologize if that\u2019s a shock \u2013 it was to
me too.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe good news is, I\u2019m not gonna go into any more detail. I\u2019m posting this, because professionally, a few things will have to change \u2013 appearances and cons and work in general need to take back seat to treatment. My plan is to get as well as I possibly can over the summer so that I can tour with my new movie \u2018Ernie & Emma\u2019 this fall. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere are several cons this year summer that I have to cancel. Big regrets on my part. Treatment needs and professional obligations don\u2019t always go hand-in-hand. That\u2019s about it. I\u2019m not trying enlist sympathy \u2013 or advice \u2013 I just want to get ahead of this information in case false information gets out (which it will). Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch and I have great support, so I expect to be around a while. As always, you\u2019re the greatest fans in the world and I hope to see you soon!,\u201d Campbell wrote, signing off with \u201cMuch love.\u201d<\/p>\n
