The show follows Wiig\u2019s wannabe patrician Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons, who is hell-bent on becoming the belle of 1960\u2019s Palm Beach by elbowing her way into the upper echelons of Florida\u2019s most exclusive beach club, the Palm Royale. Other cast members include Ricky Martin, Josh Lucas, Leslie Bibb, Amber Charade Robinson, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Kaia Gerber and Carol Burnett. \u201cPalm Royale\u201d was loosely adapted from Juliet McDaniel\u2019s 2018 novel \u201cMr. and Mrs. American Pie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cPalm Royale\u201d Season 1 was nominated for 11 Emmys, including outstanding comedy series, best actress for Wiig and best supporting actress for Burnett. It took home one statue for outstanding original main title theme music. Season 2 earned Wiig a nomination at SAG\u2019s Actor Awards for outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe official logline for \u201cPalm Royale\u201d Season 2 reads, \u201cMaxine is left a social pariah after a scandalous public breakdown. She\u2019ll have to draw on her deep well of cleverness and cunning to prove, once and for all, that not only does she belong, but she just might have what it takes to rule this town. Along the way, she will uncover untold truths and finally understand what this town is truly built on \u2026 secrets, lies and the occasional felony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tCreator Sylvia also served as writer, showrunner and executive producer under Aunt Sylvia\u2019s Moving Picture Company. Other executive producers included Dern, Jayme Lemons for Jaywalker Pictures, Wiig and Katie O\u2019Connell Marsh.
