On Wednesday, thousands of heavy metal fans gathered around the Black Sabbath Bridge in Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>\u2019s hometown of Birmingham, England, for a public tribute to the late rocker, who died last week at age 76. Several of Osbourne\u2019s closest family members, including his wife, Sharon, and four of his six children were also in attendance.<\/p>\n

During the procession, Ozzy\u2019s youngest son, 39-year-old Jack Osbourne, wore a simple all-black suit with dark sunglasses and a cross-studded tie from Chrome Hearts<\/a>, the Los Angeles luxury clothing label that his father had frequently worn since the 1990s.<\/p>\n

The Prince of Darkness was a close friend of the Chrome Hearts brand, which is known for its rockstar-friendly, \u201cbaroque-biker\u201d<\/a> designs and its correspondingly starry roster of high-profile collectors such as Osbourne, Iggy Pop, Cher, and the late Karl Lagerfeld<\/a>. Through the late 1990s and well into the 2000s, the Black Sabbath frontman could often be seen wearing a hefty gold Chrome Hearts belt buckle, as well as the brand\u2019s other gothy, cross-festooned designs. Last fall, the brand created a custom leather trench coat for Ozzy\u2019s 2024 induction as a solo artist into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. (He\u2019d been previously honored alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates in 2006.) Onstage, he wore the floor-skimming trench while seated on a black throne decorated with bats and skulls.<\/p>\n

After the rocker died on July 22, the Chrome Hearts Instagram account posted three photos, each comprising a close-up of the trench coat\u2019s custom \u201cOzzy\u201d label<\/a>, in tribute. The musician and model Jesse Jo Stark, who is the daughter of Chrome Hearts founders Richard Stark and Laurie Lynn Stark, also shared a photo of Ozzy<\/a> on her personal profile, writing, \u201cThank you for inspiring a world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last October, Osbourne wore a custom Chrome Hearts leather trench at his 2024 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Ozzy\u2019s fondness for the brand, which felt innately moored by his tendency to always wear all black, became a family affair. In 2003, a teenage Jack Osbourne posed for a photo alongside his pals, among them musician Cisco Adler and socialite Kimberly Stewart, that would become a cover<\/a> for the label\u2019s in-house magazine.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Jack reshared the photo\u2014a memory, as he put it, from \u201cback when I was a \u2018model\u2019\u201d\u2014on his public Facebook page.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was over 16 years ago and I\u2019m fairly certain I was on copious amounts of drugs in this photo,\u201d the former reality star wrote in a caption<\/a>. \u201cInterestingly enough I still consider all these fine folks my friends. Somehow we all survived. #youth.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the Birmingham tribute procession on Wednesday, Ozzy and Sharon\u2019s two daughters, Aimee and Kelly Osbourne, also paid homage to their late father\u2019s memorable style. Aimee, 41, wore a bat-shaped pendant, while Kelly, 40, wore round, purple-lensed sunglasses<\/a> that mirrored Ozzy’s signature frames.<\/p>\n
