Over the past week, Resident Evil Requiem<\/a> players have been scrambling through Capcom\u2019s latest to try to figure out what the solution is to the \u201cFinal Puzzle.\u201d<\/a> This is a challenge you unlock after completing the game, but is otherwise completely obscured from you. Though the solution was datamined<\/a> yesterday, fans didn\u2019t know how the game actually tries to clue players in to that solution and the steps one has to take. Thanks to community efforts<\/a>, we do now.<\/p>\n

IGN<\/a> has a concise video walkthrough of the whole puzzle that shows every step, as well as highlighting extremely easy-to-miss clues Requiem drops for you. These hints are hidden in documents you collect, on small details in the environment, and in items you won\u2019t even understand until you know they\u2019re part of the puzzle. Some clues needed to solve it are hidden in later segments of the game, after the areas in which you put the information they give you to use, so if you were relying on in-game clues and solving it yourself rather than working from a guide, you wouldn\u2019t be able to figure it out without seeing the game through at least once.<\/p>\n

Since the solution was previously datamined, a bit of the fun and mystery has been taken out of the whole process, and some fans have tried to assert that certain random events in the game are actually \u201chints.\u201d But every step IGN\u2019s guide lays out here has a concrete piece of evidence pointing to it that could lead a detail-oriented player to this conclusion. While it didn\u2019t last long, it is fun having a moment where the sickest among us gather and try to figure out a puzzle like this. Mysteries have a way of bringing people together. Unless the mystery is who Leon Kennedy is married to<\/a>.
