Darnold and Smith-Njigba hooked up 10 times for 153 yards and one of Darnold\u2019s three touchdown passes, so it wasn\u2019t surprising to hear Rams General Manager Les Snead prioritizing help in the defensive backfield on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs there an All-Pro that <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7084893\/2026\/03\/04\/rams-matthew-stafford-contract-nfl-draft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">you could add<\/a>?\u201d Snead said, via Nate Atkins of TheAthletic.com. \u201cThat would be nice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There aren\u2019t any All-Pros available in free agency, but a trade could be a possibility and the chances of making one are helped by the Rams holding a pair of first-round picks this year. Snead\u2019s well known for saying \u201cf\u2014k them picks\u201d while building the Rams\u2019 Super Bowl LXI winners and he said on Tuesday that he\u2019s looking for \u201ca player who is going to give us an edge and make an impact.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Atkins suggests Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie as a Rams target as he is looking for a new contract and played for Rams defensive backs coach Jimmy Lake while in college.
