Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) experienced a major slip-of-the-tongue Tuesday afternoon while being questioned by reporters about the U.S. war against Iran. <\/p>\n
When asked if he felt Israel had forced the U.S.\u2019s hand in joining a military campaign, Schumer said: \u201cNo one wants a nuclear war, no one wants a nuclear Israel, but we certainly don\u2019t want endless war, plain and simple.\u201d <\/p>\n
As the senator began to walk away from the gaggle, the reporter quickly asked him to clarify his statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did I say?\u201d Schumer asked, eliciting a number of laughs from the group of reporters.<\/p>\n
Then, he quickly corrected himself.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh, no! Let me say that again,\u201d Schumer said. \u201cNo one wants an endless war, but we certainly don\u2019t want a nuclear Iran, that\u2019s for sure, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n
