{"id":503419,"date":"2026-03-04T15:28:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T15:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/503419\/"},"modified":"2026-03-04T15:28:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T15:28:07","slug":"connor-mcgovern-does-not-expect-to-re-sign-with-bills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/503419\/","title":{"rendered":"Connor McGovern does not expect to re-sign with Bills"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Connor McGovern has been a fixture on the Bills offensive line for the last three seasons, but he expects to be wearing a different uniform during the 2026 season. <\/p>\n<p>McGovern told Tim Graham of TheAthletic.com that he\u2019d like to remain with the Bills and that he thinks they\u2019d re-sign him in an ideal scenario, \u201cbut sometimes you\u2019ve got to look in the mirror and be realistic.\u201d In this case, McGovern\u2019s reality is being formed by a lack of communication from the Bills since the team\u2019s loss to the Broncos in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey haven\u2019t <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7085403\/2026\/03\/04\/bills-connor-mcgovern-ufa-brandon-beane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">contacted me once<\/a>,\u201d McGovern said. \u201cIn my gut, that says it\u2019s over and done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McGovern, who is No. 30 on PFT\u2019s list of this year\u2019s <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/nfl-top-100-free-agents-2026-george-pickens-tops-the-list\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">top free agents<\/a>, started at guard in Buffalo in 2023 before moving to center for the last two seasons.
