Everton could be about to take a step forward in their pursuit of Tyler Dibling. <\/p>\n
David Moyes\u2019 side have not seen their transfer window progress as they would perhaps have expected over the past few weeks, as the big-money deals that were mooted at the start of the summer have largely eluded them. <\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Dibling has now fallen into Everton\u2019s sights<\/a>, with the Merseysiders adding the starlet to their list of potential targets towards the end of last week. <\/p>\n The Southampton youngster had a breakthrough season last time out, and that has understandably seen him catch the eye of the Premier League\u2019s<\/a> elite.<\/p>\n This article includes exclusive comment from former Everton scout Bryan King.<\/p>\n Everton to pay \u00a325m+ for Dibling as Moyes may get his wish<\/p>\n Moyes made it clear after Everton\u2019s pre-season defeat to Bournemouth<\/a> that he needs more additions to his squad, and the Dibling development must be music to his ears. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n The likes of Manchester United and Tottenham showed an interest in the 19-year-old earlier in the summer, but now it is the Merseysiders who are eyeing up potential progress towards a deal. <\/p>\n Southampton are previously understood to have set an asking price of \u00a340million for the attacking midfielder, which is thought to be a stumbling block for the Toffees.<\/p>\n However, ex-Goodison scout Bryan King \u2013 speaking exclusively to Goodison News \u2013 believes that Moyes<\/a> and Co. may look to launch an initial bid of \u00a325m, and use add-ons to push the total package up towards the Saints\u2019 demands.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d say \u00a340m is too much for a young player personally,\u201d King said. <\/p>\n \u201cI certainly wouldn\u2019t pay \u00a340m for him (Dibling).
