Senator Mullin challenges Teamsters president to fight in 2023 hearing<\/p>\n
Trump’s new nominee for the Department of Homeland Security once challenged a witness in a Senate hearing to a fight. <\/p>\n
It happened in 2024, when Senator Markwayne Mullin was questioning Teamsters union President Sean O’Brien in a committee hearing. <\/p>\n
Mullin brought up a tweet O’Brien had directed at him, saying “You know where to find me. Anyplace, Anytime cowboy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo this is a time, this is a place,\u201d Mullin said. \u201cYou wanna run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults. We can finish it here.\u201d<\/p>\n
‘\u201cOkay, that\u2019s fine,\u201d O\u2019Brien said. \u201cPerfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou want to do it now?\u201d Mullin asked.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019d love to do it right now,\u201d O\u2019Brien said.<\/p>\n

Mullin rose to his feet and looked like he might walk over to the witness before then-committee chair, Senator Bernie Sanders, chided him and told him to sit down. <\/p>\n
