Kristi Noem\u2019s in-laws hope her husband finally leaves her as rumors of an affair with Corey Lewandowski continue to swirl\u2014but they aren\u2019t holding their breath.<\/p>\n

Bryon Noem\u2019s family told The New York Post<\/a> that he feels it is his religious duty to stay with Kristi, despite being \u201chumiliated\u201d during the public scandal\u2014dubbed the \u201cworst-kept secret in Washington, D.C.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said he decided about 20 years ago that it was his calling from God to support her in whatever she decided to do,\u201d one family member told the outlet. \u201cSo he has put up with the humiliation. We will see if he sticks with her now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s him honoring the calling from God,\u201d the family member added. \u201cBut it seems like there would be some limit to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another family member said that in addition to his Christian faith, his devotion to their three children is keeping him with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cBryon is a Christian man, and he believes that marriage is forever,\u201d another relative said. \u201cHe\u2019s very close with his children. I\u2019m sure this is really hard on them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lewandowski is also out at DHS<\/a> after President Donald Trump fired Noem as Secretary of Homeland Security via a Truth Social post on Thursday. The alleged affair is reportedly part of the reason Trump canned Noem, along with several other scandals that plagued DHS under the former South Dakota governor\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

Before his brief stint at the Department of Homeland Security under Noem, Lewandowski was briefly Trump\u2019s campaign manager in 2016. He was fired from that role after facing battery charges for grabbing a reporter. <\/p>\n

Noem was grilled on her relationship with Lewandowski during a Congressional hearing earlier this week. While she attacked the line of questioning, she did not directly deny having a personal relationship with Lewandowski. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve called Corey Lewandowski a special government employee. I understand what government means, I understand what employee means, OK, but I don\u2019t know what makes him special,\u201d Democratic Florida Rep. Jared Moskowitz asked her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe socialist, liberal, left, is you go off and you attack conservative women,\u201d Noem asserted. \u201cYou say that we\u2019re either stupid, or we\u2019re s–ts. That\u2019s what you do. And I\u2019ll tell you, sir, I\u2019m neither.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryon was at the hearing, but had left the briefing just before his wife was questioned about the alleged affair.<\/p>\n
