\n\tAs his year-plus-long The Forget Tomorrow World Tour wraps up, Justin Timberlake<\/a> today shared with fans that he\u2019s \u201cbeen battling some health issues,\u201d including Lyme disease<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cLiving with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,\u201d the singer wrote on Instagram. \u201cWhen I first got the diagnosis I was shocked for sure. But, at least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTimblerlake indicated that there was a point at which he considered abandoning the tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tIndeed, the Grammy-winner rescheduled<\/a> a number of dates last year due to what he then said were a host of issues such as bronchitis, laryngitis and back pain.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was\u00a0feeling. I\u2019m so glad I kept going,\u201d he wrote today. \u201cI\u2019d like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLyme disease is caused by a bacteria transferred by infected ticks when they bite humans. Some people are more prone to it than others. Early symptoms, according to<\/a> the Mayo Clinic, include a rash, fever, headache, extreme tiredness, joint stiffness and muscle aches and pains.<\/p>\n
