Pep Guardiola has promised that Manchester City<\/a> will be \u2018better\u2019 next season in a clear hint about his future. City\u2019s hopes of claiming the title are fading heading into the final portion of the season.<\/p>\n Guardiola\u2019s side are second but their failure to beat Nottingham Forest<\/a> in midweek has seen them fall seven points behind Arsenal<\/a>, albeit they have a game in hand. Speculation about Guardiola<\/a>\u2019s future has been a topic throughout the campaign.<\/p>\n Despite still having just over a year to run on his current deal, it has been suggested that he could end up leaving this summer.<\/a><\/p>\n The Spaniard has since opened up on City\u2019s issues this season and has promised that they will be improved next term. He said: “We are not a complete team to compete to, you know, to be solid. That is the reality. Next season will be better. I don’t have doubts about that.”<\/p>\n And while Guardiola appears keen to help City to more success, he was not afraid to air one of his main complaints as he took aim at the FA and Premier League<\/a> for their scheduling. City are set to take on Newcastle<\/a> in the FA Cup<\/a> just days after their draw with Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n Pep Guardiola has a contract until 2027(Image: Getty Images)<\/p>\n “For here in England it is more important what happened in the Carabao Cup than the Champions League<\/a> games for the English teams,” Guardiola added. “It happened since day one. So it’s no surprise.<\/p>\n “In the schedule, the broadcasters decide because they say, we pay a lot of money. OK, well done, I got a lot of money. Thank you so much. You’re so kind. So it’s that.”<\/p>\n Following their FA Cup clash with Newcastle, City will then turn their attention to their Champions League campaign, having once again been drawn to face Spanish giants Real Madrid<\/a> in the last 16. City will then resume their push for the Premier League title as they travel to West Ham<\/a> next weekend.<\/p>\n On the FA Cup, Guardiola said: \u201cHow many finals and semi-finals have we been to in the last few years? A lot.
