\n\tCorey Parker<\/a>, a versatile actor whose career spanned film, television and mentoring young performers, has died, according to TMZ<\/a>. He was 60 years old.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis family told TMZ that he died Thursday in Memphis, Tennessee, following a battle with cancer.<\/p>\n

\n\tParker began his career in the mid-1980s, landing the role of Pete in \u201cFriday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning\u201d (1985), a performance that helped establish him in the horror genre. He then went on to appear in the Kim Basinger romantic drama \u201c9 1\/2 Weeks\u201d (1986).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 1992, he gained wider recognition as Neil Barash on the sitcom \u201cFlying Blind,\u201d starring alongside T\u00e9a Leoni as an awkward college graduate navigating love with her free-spirited character. The series, which ran for one season, also featured guest appearances from Lisa Kudrow, Peter Boyle, Andy Dick and Noah Emmerich.<\/p>\n

\n\tTelevision audiences also remembered Parker as Josh, one of Grace\u2019s boyfriends on \u201cWill & Grace,\u201d appearing in five episodes of the popular NBC series. His other screen credits included \u201cBiloxi Blues,\u201d \u201cWhite Palace,\u201d \u201cLove Boat: The Next Wave,\u201d \u201cNashville\u201d and \u201cBlue Skies.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tLater in his career, Parker turned to coaching, helping actors refine their craft on shows such as \u201cSun Records\u201d and \u201cMs. Marvel,\u201d leaving a lasting impact behind the camera.<\/p>\n

\n\tParker grew up in a creative household. His mother, Rocky Parker, who was married to Patrick Dempsey in the late 1980s, and his sister, Noelle, were both actors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
