According to the filing, the anti-SLAPP motion brought by the estate last year had little real impact on the dispute and mainly made the process longer and more expensive for Paris.<\/p>\nThe anti-SLAPP motion was originally filed in November 2025 after Paris submitted a petition asking the court to change how the estate\u2019s executors request payment of their legal fees from estate funds. Although the court granted the motion, Paris\u2019 lawyers say it did not dismiss any of her claims or affect the relief she is seeking.<\/p>\n
Now the estate is asking the court to approve more than $115,000 in legal fees related to that motion. Paris\u2019 attorneys oppose the request, arguing that the legal work was unnecessary and wasted estate resources. They also claim that two law firms that had already received payments from the estate were involved in arguing against Paris, increasing the legal costs.<\/p>\n
Court documents filed earlier by the estate stated that Paris has received about $65 million in benefits from her father\u2019s estate. Her legal challenge focuses on concerns about transparency, including bonus and \u201cpremium\u201d payments made in 2018.<\/p>\n
