Attendees will see exclusive sneak peek footage from the upcoming installment in the long-running Godzilla franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tYamazaki, who won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for his work on Godzilla Minus One, will introduce the footage in a special appearance highlighting the global reach of theatrical filmmaking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe moment also marks a milestone for GKIDS, the Oscar-winning distributor known for bringing international and artist-driven animation to North American audiences. The company was acquired by Toho in 2024, strengthening its ties to Japanese filmmaking and the Godzilla franchise.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThe future strength of our industry depends on a year-round diverse slate of films that speaks to audiences around the world,\u201d said Michael O\u2019Leary, president and CEO of Cinema United, which hosts the convention. \u201cGKIDS exemplifies a commitment to diverse moviegoing choices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tGKIDS president David Jesteadt added that the event reflects the company\u2019s longstanding support for the theatrical experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cGodzilla Minus Zero,\u201d currently in production, reunites Yamazaki with the franchise as director, screenwriter and VFX supervisor.
