\nFelix Auger-Aliassime vs Arthur Fils<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: Auger-Aliassime 1-0 Fils<\/p>\n

Auger-Aliassime comes into this match battle-hardened from hard-fought triumphs over Gael Monfils, who is playing his final season as a professional<\/a>, and Gabriel Diallo. Fils had easier victories against Dino Prizmic and Marton Fucsovics. Auger-Aliassime easily beat the Frenchman when they met a few weeks ago on the indoor hard courts in Montpellier. On a much slower outdoor court, I like Fils\u2019s chances more. He is backed to win by getting enough of Auger-Aliassime\u2019s serves into play.<\/p>\n

Alexander Zverev vs Frances Tiafoe<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: Zverev 8-1 Tiafoe<\/p>\n

The head-to-head does not make pleasant reading for Tiafoe. His only previous success against Zverev was on home soil in Cincinnati over eight years ago. The three-time Grand Slam runner-up\u2019s vulnerabilities were shown in a tight battle with Brandon Nakashima in the previous round. However, it is still tough to see Tiafoe winning. Zverev\u2019s powerful serve and consistent groundstrokes are a bad matchup for him.<\/p>\n

Learner Tien vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: Davidovich Fokina 1-0 Tien<\/p>\n

Both men had statement victories in the previous round. Tien beat Ben Shelton, who admittedly was not feeling 100%, while Davidovich Fokina overcame Jakub Mensik. I expect this to be a close match decided by fine margins. Both men usually attack, with Davidovich Fokina being particularly aggressive in his matches so far this week. Overall, I favor Tien slightly more to stay resilient in the important moments.<\/p>\n

Jannik Sinner vs Joao Fonseca<\/p>\n

Head-to-head: First meeting<\/p>\n

Fonseca reminded fans of why there is so much hype around him with excellent performances against Karen Khachanov and Tommy Paul. Despite those results, I do not expect him to come near beating Sinner. Defeating the four-time Grand Slam champion, especially on a hard court, requires constant persistence and focus. Fonseca usually has a few spells in matches where his level dips, which he cannot afford.<\/p>\n
