\n\tENHYPEN will continue as a six-member group following the departure of founding member Heeseung, his agency, BELIFT LAB, announced Tuesday<\/a> (March 10).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe news was shared in a statement posted across the group\u2019s official channels, where the label said the decision followed extensive discussions about the group\u2019s future direction and the singer\u2019s individual musical ambitions.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThrough in-depth discussions with each of the members about the future they envision and the direction of the team, it became clear that Heeseung has his own distinct musical vision,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n

\n\tBELIFT LAB confirmed that Heeseung will leave the group but remain signed to the label as he prepares to launch his solo career. The company said the decision was made after a long period of deliberation between the artist, the group and management.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe remaining members \u2014 Jake, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki \u2014 will continue as ENHYPEN, though no specific plans for upcoming releases or tour activity were announced alongside Tuesday\u2019s update.<\/p>\n

\n\tHeeseung also addressed fans \u2014 known as ENGENE \u2014 following the announcement.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe past six years have been filled with moments that are difficult to put into words \u2014 moments that were overwhelmingly meaningful, and incredibly precious to me,\u201d he wrote in a letter to fans. \u201cSharing so many emotions with the members, and having ENGENEs always there to support us, helped me move closer, step by step, to a dream that once felt out of reach. I truly believe none of this would have been possible without you.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThose memories will remain some of the most shining and unforgettable moments of my life,\u201d he continued. \u201cI will never forget them, and I want to continue supporting ENHYPEN as someone who will always cheer them on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAdded Heeseung: \u201cOver time, I shared the work I had been creating with the company, and we spent a long time discussing with many people how it might best be presented. After thinking deeply about it for a long time, I ultimately made a big decision in line with the direction that was discussed, in hopes of returning to you in a better way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHeeseung debuted as a member of ENHYPEN in November 2020 after appearing on the survival audition program I-LAND. The group launched its career with the release of Border: Day One and quickly built an international fanbase with subsequent releases and global touring.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis exit marks the first lineup change for the group since its debut.<\/p>\n
