Miley Cyrus<\/a> is as excited as her fans for the upcoming 20th anniversary of Hannah Montana<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the former child star and Disney Channel<\/a> icon shared a trailer on social media<\/a> for the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which will stream March 24 on Disney+ \u2014 exactly two decades since it first aired.<\/p>\n

“Already getting emotional,” Cyrus says at the start of the trailer, as she walks down a hallway onto the iconic Hannah Montana set.<\/p>\n

The trailer also shows Cyrus wearing her iconic blonde wig, a throwback to her days playing teenage girl Miley Stewart, who lives a double life as famous pop singer Hannah Montana. There are also clips of gleeful fans, with Cyrus emphasizing that this anniversary special is “for them.”<\/p>\n

Cyrus’ parents also appear in the trailer. Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a>, who played dad Robby Ray Stewart on the show, is seen dancing alongside his daughter, while Tish Cyrus<\/a> looks through photo albums with her.<\/p>\n

Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper, who will host the special, reflects on the long-lasting impact of Hannah Montana in the trailer, telling Cyrus that “this show defined a generation.”<\/p>\n

Cyrus recently told Variety<\/a> that she was “working hard” on finding ways to mark two decades since the series first aired on the Disney Channel, teasing that her sporting bangs<\/a> \u2014 like her Hannah Montana persona \u2014 was one clue that plans were underway.<\/p>\n

Disney previously announced that the special would be filmed in front of a live studio audience and feature an in-depth interview with Cyrus, never-before-seen archival footage, along with some “familiar *notes* that find their way back into the spotlight.”<\/p>\n

“Hannah Montana will always be a part of who I am. What started as a TV show became a shared experience that shaped my life and the lives of so many fans, and I\u2019ll always be thankful for that connection,” Cyrus said in a press release<\/a>. “The fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I\u2019m very proud of. This \u2018Hannahversary\u2019 is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who\u2019ve stood by me for 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
