In a newly posted video below, the band\u2019s members individually reveal their personal choices for the best n\u00fc-metal song of all time.<\/p>\n<p>Papa Roach themselves of course penned a n\u00fc-metal staple in the 6x platinum \u201cLast Resort\u201c. That 2001 single went on to catapult the Californian group to prominence and continues to connect with audiences, having entered Spotify\u2018s 1 billion streams club in October of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The band\u2019s frontman Jacoby Shaddix for his part offered, \u201cI\u2019d be biased and say \u201cLast Resort\u201d by Papa Roach, but I\u2019ll give it to Limp Bizkit \u201cBreak Stuff\u201c\u2018. Bassist Tobin Esperance instead opted for Korn\u2018s early genre classic \u201cBlind\u201c, offering, \u201cthe first time I heard that opening intro to \u201cBlind\u201d I was like, \u2018Oh sh*t, this is something that I haven\u2019t heard before.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Drummer Tony Palermo chose \u201cMy Own Summer (Shove It)\u201d from Deftones\u2018 sophomore album \u201cAround The Fur\u201c. And yes, he was aware of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theprp.com\/2025\/08\/25\/news\/chino-moreno-admits-deftones-have-tried-not-to-get-lumped-in-with-the-nu-metal-resurgence\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the controversy of labeling Deftones n\u00fc-metal<\/a>. Palermo stated: \u201cI know Deftones don\u2019t like to be coined as n\u00fc-metal, but \u2018Shove It\u2018 is up there.
