A more than decade-old \u201cToday\u201d show segment resurfaced Wednesday, revealing a rare glimpse inside missing matriarch Nancy Guthrie\u2019s Tucson bedroom.<\/p>\n
In the 2013 clip<\/a>, early-riser Nancy, then 71, guided her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, and her \u201cToday\u201d show colleagues through her intimate daily bed-making routine \u2014 at 3 a.m. MST \u2014 inside her $1 million suburban home.<\/p>\n Nancy Guthrie showed off her bed-making skills in a 2013 \u201cToday\u201d show clip. NBC<\/p>\n \u201cWell, I think everybody needs to know how to make a bed. So, when the time came to teach [Savannah and her siblings] how to make a bed, this is what I tried to teach you,\u201d a good-natured Nancy explained, while the hosts poked fun at Savannah\u2019s haphazard morning routine.<\/p>\n At her colleagues cajoling, Savannah confessed that she personally prefers to \u201cjust leave\u201d the bed as-is when she wakes up.<\/p>\n Savannah Guthrie admitted she rarely made her bed in the mornings. NBC<\/p>\n \u201cAll three of the kids thought [bed-making] was a really worthless skill,\u201d Nancy offered.<\/p>\n \u201cToday\u201d alum Natalie Morales joked that Nancy tucked the sheets so tightly she \u201ccould bounce a quarter off of it.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cNatalie, don\u2019t put me to the test,\u201d Nancy teased back. \u201cIt\u2019s way too early.\u201d<\/p>\n While Nancy had already put the finishing touches on her bed that day, even though it was still pre-dawn in Arizona, she offered to guide the team through her tried-and-true tricks \u2014 all to the beat of a chipper military anthem.<\/p>\n Nancy dilligently tucked the sheets as tightly as she could. NBC<\/p>\n Back at the \u201cToday\u201d show\u2019s Rockefeller Center studio, Savannah and her co-hosts put Nancy\u2019s carefully manicured method to the test.<\/p>\n Al Roker and Morales replicated Nancy\u2019s instructions to a tee, with Savannah helping with the finishing crimps.<\/p>\n Nancy, seemingly satisfied, signed off \u2014 but not before Savannah urged her to get some rest.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll teach you a skill! It\u2019s called \u2018napping\u2019, when you\u2019re up at these hours,\u201d Savannah teased.<\/p>\n \u201cLove you mom,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Nancy has been missing since Feb. 1. NBC<\/p>\n Nancy, now 84, has lived in the same Tucson home<\/a> since the 1970s. Police believe she was kidnapped<\/a> from the residence sometime during the nearly morning hours on Feb. 1.<\/p>\n
