Mirra Andreeva voiced her frustrations after losing to Katerina Siniakova at the Indian Wells Open<\/p>\n

The Russian tennis pro had a meltdown on the court, smashing her racket and cursing at fans as she walked away<\/p>\n

She was the defending champion of the tournament before her loss<\/p>\n

Mirra Andreeva let her frustrations be heard.<\/p>\n

The Russian professional tennis player, 18, stormed off the court while blurting expletives after her\u00a04-6, 6-7(5), 6-3 loss\u00a0to unseeded Katerina Siniakova in the third round of the Indian Wells Open on Monday, March 9.<\/p>\n

Andreeva, who is the Indian Wells defending champion, left the court exchanging words with the booing crowd. Earlier in the match, she chucked her racket after losing the second-set tiebreaker and then picked it up and smashed it, resulting in a code violation.<\/p>\n

The pro threw her racket again following match point and then, after shaking hands at the net with Siniakova, left the court gesturing and yelling at the crowd.<\/p>\n

“F–k you all,” she repeatedly cursed at the crowd, some of whom booed her as she walked off the court.<\/p>\n

Andreeva opened up about the way she reacted after her upsetting loss.<\/p>\n

“I’m not really proud of how I managed it. I’m not really proud of how I handled it in the end,” she said in a press conference, per The Athletic<\/a>. “Those are the things that I really need to work on soon. I don’t know. Not in the future, but whenever I get the chance.”<\/p>\n

Andreeva\u00a0is currently the No. 8 player in the world. She has two WTA 1000 titles under her belt,\u00a0coming out victorious at Indian Wells\u00a0and Dubai last year.<\/p>\n

Siniakova, who is currently ranked No. 44, spoke with Tennis Channel about the “pressure” that was on the reigning champion to maintain her title.<\/p>\n

“I knew the pressure was on her. I was trying to enjoy it, because finally I was on the other side when I have nothing to lose,\u201d she said in a post-match interview. “She\u2019s an amazing player. You need to play long rallies, you need to do it on your own.”<\/p>\n

Next, Siniakova takes on Ukrainian pro Elina Svitolina at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11.<\/p>\n
