\n\tAfter Aaron Pierre<\/a> makes his DC Studios debut as Green Lantern John Stewart in HBO\u2019s \u201cLanterns<\/a>,\u201d he\u2019ll meet Superman<\/a> in James Gunn\u2019s upcoming sequel \u201cMan of Tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSuperman\u201d stars David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult will both return as the Man of Steel and Lex Luthor, respectively, for \u201cMan of Tomorrow,\u201d which is set for release on July 9, 2027. German actor Lars Eidinger joins the cast to play the super-intelligent antagonist Brainiac. \u201cMan of Tomorrow,\u201d written and directed by DC Studios co-chief Gunn, is due to begin production this summer in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn \u201cLanterns,\u201d Pierre stars as John Stewart, a new recruit to the Lantern Corps, opposite Emmy winner Kyle Chandler as Lantern legend Hal Jordan. Per the show\u2019s logline, the series follows \u201ctwo intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.\u201d A trailer for the HBO series<\/a> was released earlier this month, teasing the buddy-cop dynamic between Hal and John as the elder Green Lantern shows the newbie the ropes. \u201cLanterns,\u201d which launches in August, marks Pierre\u2019s true superhero debut after he previously appeared in the DC series \u201cKrypton,\u201d in the role of Dev-Em.<\/p>\n

\n\tPierre\u2019s filmography also includes the hit Netflix film \u201cRebel Ridge,\u201d portraying Malcolm X in the Nat Geo series \u201cGenius: MLK\/X\u201d and starring in Barry Jenkins\u2019 limited series \u201cThe Underground Railroad\u201d for Prime Video, as well as voicing Mufasa in Jenkins\u2019 \u201cThe Lion King\u201d prequel. Pierre most recently voiced a key role in \u201cGoat,\u201d from Sony Pictures Animation. He is represented by WME, Anonymous Content, B-Side Management and Narrative.<\/p>\n
