the former head of the Gambino crime family, who was convicted of racketeering and murder at his federal trial in 1992 &#8212; died of throat cancer behind bars in 2002 at the age of 61.<\/p>\n<p>She says she saw how her dad was treated with his health issues in prison, and she doesn&#8217;t want that for her son, Carmine.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"js-click-image js-track-link image-lightbox-preview\" data-node-ref=\"tmz:image-asset:image_jpg_20260312_423e0c3851f540b9b1b9558cb6fc53a9\" data-container-ref=\"tmz:article:69d9441c-e11b-4a3f-92ba-378aa8bdd02d\" data-context=\"{&quot;section&quot;:&quot;permalink&quot;,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;image&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p>                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/423e0c3851f540b9b1b9558cb6fc53a9_md.jpg\" alt=\"Victoria-&amp;-Carmine-ig-1\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a recent court filing, Victoria <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/03\/12\/victoria-gotti-pleads-to-judge-no-prison-for-son\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">begged a judge<\/a> to keep Carmine from going to prison so he could donate one of his kidneys to her because she suffers from chronic kidney disease.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, Carmine pleaded guilty to fraudulently applying for COVID relief loans for his auto parts business, using $420,000 of the loan money to invest in a cryptocurrency company.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors asked the judge to send Carmine to prison for 31 to 44 months, but Carmine&#8217;s attorney, Steven Metcalf, is requesting probation.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"js-click-image js-track-link image-lightbox-preview\" data-node-ref=\"tmz:image-asset:image_jpg_20260313_f0171d13b0a74b85932637bbfe484d97\" data-container-ref=\"tmz:article:69d9441c-e11b-4a3f-92ba-378aa8bdd02d\" data-context=\"{&quot;section&quot;:&quot;permalink&quot;,&quot;name&quot;:&quot;image&quot;}\"><\/p>\n<p>                          <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/f0171d13b0a74b85932637bbfe484d97_md.jpg\" alt=\"victoria gotti and son Carmine Gotti Agnello insta 1\" width=\"728\" height=\"546\" class=\"img-fluid image-block__img-fluid img-aspect-auto\"\/><\/p>\n<p>                                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Metcalf filed an emergency request with the court Thursday night after Carmine&#8217;s sentencing, set for today, was adjourned.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Metcalf wrote the surgery to remove one of Carmine&#8217;s kidneys and transfer it to Victoria is scheduled to take place on March 30, with 3 surgeons to perform the procedure.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But the lawyer says Carmine is still not cleared for the surgery, though he needs to be within 2 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>If not, Metcalf says the entire procedure will be jeopardized due to scheduling concerns involving Carmine&#8217;s sentencing. Metcalf proposes a bunch of dates for the sentencing in mid to late April.
