{"id":521905,"date":"2026-03-13T21:27:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T21:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/521905\/"},"modified":"2026-03-13T21:27:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T21:27:07","slug":"sharks-sign-forward-ty-dellandrea-to-two-year-contract-extension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/521905\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharks sign forward Ty Dellandrea to two-year contract extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/sharks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">San Jose Sharks<\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SanJoseSharks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">@SanJoseSharks<\/a>) General Manager\u00a0Mike Grier\u00a0announced\u00a0today that the club has\u00a0signed forward\u00a0Ty\u00a0Dellandrea\u00a0to a two-year contract extension worth\u202f$3.25\u202fmillion ($1.625 million\u202fAverage Annual Value).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTy has been a consistent performer at both ends of the ice and a big part of our locker room and the culture we\u2019re building,\u201d said Grier. \u201cWe are excited to keep him in San Jose.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Dellandrea, 25, has logged 11 points (two goals, nine assists) over 42 games this season, the second-best points-per-game scoring clip (0.26) of his career.\u00a0Prior to suffering an\u00a0injury that has kept him out of the lineup since\u00a0his most recent game played on Jan. 6,\u00a0Dellandrea\u00a0paced Sharks forwards in faceoff percentage (52.3) and ranked second in hits (117),\u00a0blocked shots (36)\u00a0and shorthanded time on ice (115:05).\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The forward\u00a0is in his second season with the Sharks, totaling 19 points (three goals, 16 assists) over 110 games in teal.
