Welcome to a glorious spring evening at Stamford Bridge; let’s hope the football will leave us in similarly glorious mood. Chelsea need a win and a cleanser after Wednesday; Newcastle have their focus firmly on Europe so hopefully they’ll just let us have this.

Liam Rosenior has made a couple changes from the PSG debacle, but perhaps not as many as we might have expected. Sánchez does come back in between the sticks while Garnacho starts instead of the suspended Pedro Neto. No Dário Essugo on the bench; hope he’s okay.

The visitors have two goalkeepers on the bench with Sandro Tonali a late scratch due to illness.
