CLAREMONT, Calif. (KABC) — Talk about a terrifying wake-up call! Homeowners in Claremont awoke to the sound of a bear inside their home.<\/p>\n
The bear broke into the home on Thursday morning while the homeowners were sleeping, slipping inside through a vent that had accidentally been left open.<\/p>\n
Security video from inside the home shows the bear rummaging through nuts and dried fruit in the kitchen. The bear eventually found its way back outside through the vent.<\/p>\n
When Anju Kapoor and her husband woke up, they were shocked to see what had happened on their surveillance camera.<\/p>\n
Kapoor says the incident was more fascinating than frightening.<\/p>\n
“I don’t know why I was not scared. I don’t know this. I said my scare part of the brain is not well developed or something,” Kapoor said. “No, I wasn’t scared. It didn’t taint me because I didn’t see it inside my house. It’s very interesting that it was in my kitchen. It was more interesting than scary.”<\/p>\n
Thankfully, the bear skipped the fridge and the homeowners and didn’t leave much of a mess behind.<\/p>\n
