Today Deadline shared video<\/a> from an interview with Severance star Adam Scott in which the actor provided updates on season 3 filming, teased new characters coming, and confirmed the incoming director.<\/p>\n

Adam Scott spoke to Deadline and shared brief updates on the forthcoming Severance season 3. You can watch video of the interview on TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Previous reporting<\/a> indicated the new season would begin filming in April. When asked about the start date for Severance season 3, Scott all but confirmed that.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re starting very soon\u2026Very, very soon. I\u2019ll put two \u201cverys\u201d on that.<\/p>\n

Scott is then asked if anyone new is joining that he\u2019s excited about. Here\u2019s his response: \u201cThere will be exciting new characters, and we\u2019ll kind of\u2026get to that when we get to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lastly, the Deadline interviewer asks: \u201cHave you met with Kogonada?\u201d<\/p>\n

Scott responds: \u201cOh yeah, yeah yeah. He\u2019s incredible. He\u2019s just a beautiful filmmaker and such a lovely guy. We couldn\u2019t be more thrilled.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though it hasn\u2019t been officially confirmed, World of Reel reported yesterday<\/a> that famed director Kogonada would be filling Ben Stiller\u2019s shoes as director for \u201cmost, if not all of the episodes\u201d in season 3. <\/p>\n

Scott\u2019s response serves as strong confirmation of Kogonada\u2019s involvement.<\/p>\n

Stiller, despite directing 11 episodes over the first two seasons, previously announced<\/a> that he would not be directing any of season 3. He remains heavily involved in the series creatively, but said another film commitment led him to step away from the director\u2019s chair.<\/p>\n

If Severance\u2019s filming schedule proceeds as expected<\/a>, we\u2019ll likely see season 3 premiere on Apple TV in mid-to-late 2027.<\/p>\n
